Myasthenia Gravis and SSD Benefits
Myasthenia gravis is an autoimmune disorder that affects the muscles and the nerves that control them. The condition causes severe weakness of the voluntary (the iris of the eye would be considered involuntary, because it changes size to adjust to light levels on its own) muscles of the body. The fatigue lessens with inactivity/rest, but becomes progressively worse the more the muscles are used. Symptoms include difficulty walking, standing, breathing, and talking. Essentially any type of action involving use of voluntary muscles will be inhibited.
The intense fatigue/weakness of the muscles will make it difficult for anyone to work.
