Fracture of the Pelvis
Fracture of the Pelvis and Social Security Disability
Fractures are cracks or breaks in the bone, usually caused by serious injury. Sports injuries, falls, and various other forms of blunt trauma can all lead to a fracture. Symptoms of fracture include swelling around the affected area, limited mobility, and intense pain. Overuse of a limb/extremity can also cause fractures, which are known as stress fractures. Fractures can often be corrected through the use of casts, splints, or even corrective surgery.
Poorly healed fractures can be a detriment to the individual and render work difficult, due to limitations in their extremities.
